Mrs. Bintou Diallo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Promotion Agency of Burkina Faso. She was appointed in 2013 when the Agency was created under the technical supervision of the Presidential Investment Council (CPI). With more than 20 years of experience, Mrs. Diallo possesses extensive experience and leadership skills from working with charities and corporate companies.
Prior the Investment Promotion Agency of Burkina Faso, in 1999 Mrs. Diallo served as the Director of Human Resources of SN- CITEC, a national oil and soap manufacturing company. Her talent and leadership skills quickly made her move up later. Shortly after holding this position, she was appointed for the next 10 years as CEO of SN-CITEC. During this time, Mrs. Diallo regained the trust of the company partners and customers nationwide, carrying the turnover to 20 billion F.CFA. Being the first woman to assume such responsibilities within the company, Mrs. Diallo was described by her colleague as “Rigorous, hardworking and attentive”. Today the company is still going strong, employing about 400 permanent employees and 1,700 seasonal employees.
Mrs. Diallo also worked for the World Food Programme for a few years, before being appointed West Africa representative Geocoton, the French food giant, extending her expertise in five countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Togo, and Senegal).
Born in France, Mrs. Bintou Diallo obtained her degrees there, before returning home to serve her country.
