Audrey PULVAR
Chairman of la Nature et l’Homme Foundation
Audrey PULVAR was born in Martinique in 1972.
As a child, she became aware of environmental issues while her region was affected by the pollution of industrial banana farms.
She left Martinique at the age of 14 and settled in Paris, where she studied journalism after finishing high school. First in her class at the Paris School of Journalism in 1994, she began her career in the professional press. She first became photo reporter from 1994 to 1997 in Martinique, and then Editor-in-Chief and Director of Information of the Antilles Television channel.
Back in Paris in 2002, Audrey PULVAR worked, until 2017, as a political journalist and manager, to fifteen French national media outlets – in radio, television and print media – including France 3, France 2, France Inter, the Canal Plus Group and Les Inrockuptibles.
In June 2017, she ended her career as a political journalist. She decided to move to a more concrete commitment and put her persuasion skills to the service of the common good and the just environmental transition.
On June 28, 2017, she was elected chair of the Foundation for Nature and Mankind (Fondation pour la Nature et l’Homme). Through her work, she promotes the political, social and economic transformation of society to fight against climate change, biodiversity degradation, and to strengthen the solidarity between people.
Audrey is also a feminist activist. She wrote several books:
