Yacine Bio Tchané
Economist – Consultant
Yacine Bio Tchané is a Beninese economist with over ten years of experience in public finance, corporate finance and international development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Development and Management from the London School of Economics.
She began her career in 2008 as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow of the South African Treasury where she spent more than two years developing the Collaborative African Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI).
She then joined the Institute of Empirical Research in Political Economy (IREEP) where she was responsible for coordinating partners, overseeing data collection and research work
During the past seven years, Yacine has assisted several public and private companies and institutions in undertaking various types of studies to get a better understanding of WAEMU markets, to restructure their organization to gain in efficiency and for investment readiness.
Today, she continues to assist public entities in implementing reforms for better financial governance.
Passionate about financial education and inclusion, she launched “women & finance”, monthly free coaching sessions that inform women about their financial options and co-created a digital finance solution for seamless transactions between ECOWAS countries.
