Mr Curtis was named Managing Director of the Private Investment Promotion Agency in February 2014. He executes the Government’s private investment promotion policies, encourages and enables private investments in Guinea, and contributes to the improvement of the country’s investment climate.

Previously, Mr. Curtis worked seven years for BNY Mellon first in New York and then in London where he completed the corporate implementation plan to comply with Basel II in the United States, and as Vice President, Senior Risk Manager he oversaw effective risk governance of the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Mr Curtis also worked for a firm in Washington, DC for seven years on financial sector development and privatisation projects in several sectors on the African Continent.

Mr. Curtis holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. He is fluent in English, French, Soussou and has a good command of Poular and Spanish.
