Thierno S. Diop has over 16 years of professional experience in the field of strategy consulting and European public affairs, specializing in European funding programs for Africa. He supports NGOs, Governments, trade associations and multinational companies to grow their business and reputation in Africa.
He previously worked in finance for Archon France (Goldman Sachs) and Eurostockcity in Paris. He also served as General manager of PlaNet Finance Senegal (microfinance) created and chaired by Jacques Attali.
His specializations are strategy and business development, project finance in Africa (EU, EIB, World Bank, African Development Bank, financial institutions in various BRIC countries, sovereign wealth funds and foundations, private equity firms), high level lobbying strategy, development issues and public affairs.
Thierno S. Diop is currently President the Réseau Africain de l’Education pour la Santé (RAES), an NGO working on empowering girls, youths and women in Africa through education, maternal health, citizenship and entrepreneurship.
Thierno is a graduate in International Relations at Paris 1 Sorbonne University and in political science and International Law at Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas University. He also went on to the French elite school, École Nationale d’Administration (ENA, 2001-2003) and studied diplomacy in Académie diplomatique internationale in Paris.
He speaks French, English, and Wolof.
