Annie Mutamba is the co-founder of Meridia Partners, the first Brussels-based strategic communications firm specializing in Europe-Africa relations, advising businesses and organisations and representing their interests within European and international institutions.

She started her career in Washington D.C. at the Africa Policy Information Center (now Africa Action), the oldest organisation in the United States dedicated to African affairs. She then managed, for ten years, large-scale advocacy and communication programs within the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic), which represents 27,000 companies across Europe.

Since 2010 she lectures within the Executive Master in Communication and European Policies at the IHECS in Brussels
She is also a regular guest of international commissions on influence communication and lobbying. In 2016 she joined the African Center of Competitive Intelligence (ACCI) as chair of the lobbying commission.

In 2017 she co-founded Africa Communications Week, a global campaign targeting communications professionals from over 40 countries under the theme “what is the role of communications in Africa’s development
